Valeriana officinalis (Tagar) :-Valeraina is most widely recognized herb for claming. It is used by herbalists for its possible role in mild cases of insomnia, nervous anxiety and to help the body relax. Although valerian is potent, it is neither habit forming nor addictive.

Dosage : - One capsules twice a day. Discuss the supplements and medication you take with your health care provider.
Mode Of Action :- Valeriana have a sedative-hypnotics, anxiolytic, antidepressant, anticonvulsant, and antispasmodic effects. It may also have a hypotensive and mild analgesic properties. Valepotriate are quickly degraded to less toxic metabolite. The Valerenic acid appears to inhibit the enzyme system responsible for the central catabolism of GABA, increasing GABA concentration and decreasing CNS activities. Valerian containing other constituent such as lignan and GABA, which may be responsible for sedative effects of valerian.
Contraindication :-
- Patients who are allergic to above ingredients of the product.
- Valerian is contraindicated in patients who are pregnant or lactating (2, 5). It also should not be administered to children less than 12 years
